Photography has been a friend since I was a little girl. Sometimes we spend a lot of time together, other times we live apart for months, but I always go back to it. Photography has been a shelter during rough times of my life, took me to new places, has helped me make a living and meet new people.
The majority of my work lacks the presence of people in it, but I still haven't figured out why.

A few moments later
Never Ending Love
My Life Without You
"What did you do today?" I had a friend who used to ask me that question every time we talked. Sharing thoughts was an important part of our relationship. Then I lost my friend and I realized that I couldn't talk about my day and my thoughts anymore. I decided to take a picture everyday and count the days, just to show a brief moment of each day.
The purpose behind the project was not to create perfect or profound images, but to simply fill the gap of being able to communicate.
I don't take pictures anymore and I don't count the days.

Buy or die
I worked on this project during 2004-2005 before leaving for America. My friend Vassilis Goundaroulis, a founding member of Greek band Xilina Spathia ordered these pictures to be used for a series of concerts that he organized after the group was split.
The main theme behind the project was "We look but we don't see."
For me the content is more of a reflection of our mentality in Greece ten years ago; buy or die.
There has been no post production. All the pictures are taken on film, which was cross-processed, so the result is pure chemistry.
